Terms of Service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. About Upholstr
Upholstr is a workshop management application for upholstery businesses, operated by Kleopatra AS, a company registered in Norway. By using Upholstr, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Not professional advice
Upholstr provides tools for workshop management, including AI-assisted fabric label scanning. AI estimates and suggestions are approximations and should not be treated as definitive professional assessments. Always apply your own professional judgement.
3. Account and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Upholstr
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
- One account per person — automated or shared accounts are not permitted
4. Subscriptions and billing
New organisations automatically start on a 30-day free Pro trial when they sign up — no card required. If you don't add a payment method before the trial ends, your organisation automatically moves to the Free plan; you won't be charged unless you actively choose to subscribe.
Paid subscriptions are billed and processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Pricing and billing intervals (monthly or yearly) are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from within the app under Settings, or via the billing portal linked there.
5. Refund policy
Upholstr is intended for business use. As a business customer, statutory consumer withdrawal rights under Norwegian law do not apply to this subscription.
That said, if you're not satisfied within your first 14 days of paid billing, we'll refund that payment in full — no questions asked. To request this, email support@upholstr.app with your organisation name and the date you subscribed. We aim to process refunds within 14 days of your request.
This is offered as a goodwill policy, not a legal requirement, and may be changed or withdrawn for future subscriptions at our discretion.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Upholstr for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its systems
- Use automated tools to access Upholstr (bots, scrapers, etc.)
7. Your content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to Upholstr (photos, work order data, fabric information, etc.). By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process this content solely to provide and improve the Upholstr service. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Upholstr and Kleopatra AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid for Upholstr in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Upholstr available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. If we make material changes that negatively affect your paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice.
10. Account termination
You can permanently delete your own account at any time, without contacting us, from within the app under Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. This requires you to type a confirmation phrase before it takes effect. If you're unable to access the app, you can also request deletion by emailing support@upholstr.app.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you cancel a paid subscription mid-billing-period, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis, unless you have continued to actively use the service beyond a reasonable notice period after deciding to cancel. As with our refund policy above, this is offered as a goodwill practice for our business customers, not a statutory requirement, and may be changed at our discretion.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Norwegian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of Upholstr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
